Bio: Nicholas M Sambaluk is an Assistant Professor of Comparative Military Studies at Maxwell Air Force Base’s Air University, and the author of The Other Space Race: Eisenhower and the Quest for Aerospace Security (Naval Institute, 2015). Sambaluk served as an assistant professor of military history and technologies at Purdue University from 2015-16, of US and military history at the United States Military Academy from 2013-15, and as a graduate instructor for the University of Kansas teaching humanities from 2009-11 and creating a Eurasian history and security studies course taught on-site in Europe during 2012. His writing includes chapters and articles in Cyber War: A Reference Handbook (ABC-CLIO, 2015), Cold War History, and Cyber Defense Review. Forthcoming works include studies exploring the development and use of military technologies in the late 18th century, the leverage of innovation during the US Civil War, as well as an edited volume on innovation in warfare and an additional monograph on modern military history. |
