Bio: Themis Chronopoulos is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Rutgers Center for Historical Analysis, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S.A. He is the author of _Spatial Regulation in New York City: From Urban Renewal to Zero Tolerance_ (New York: Routledge, 2011). His fields of specialization include Urban History, American Studies, Race and Ethnicity, Popular Culture, Public Policy, World Cities,and Human Geography. Chronopoulos has previously taught at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, Miami University, Rhode Island School of Design, Brown University, and the City University of New York, College of Staten Island, and has held a visiting position at the University of Cape Town. His current research projects include social inequality, urban governance, immigration, neoliberal urbanization, and spatial mobility in cities located in the Americas, Africa, and Europe.
