Bio: Marlon Londoño is a PhD candidate and graduate student instructor in History at UNC Chapel Hill. He is currently a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad fellow in Bogotá, Colombia, conducting research for his dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Miguel La Serna. The dissertation, titled "Battlefields of the Mind: Political Memory in Colombia, 1900-1950," analyzes the development of historical memory related to civil war in Colombia in the aftermath of the Thousand Days' War (1899-1902). Londoño received his master's degree in History at UNC Chapel Hill in May 2021. He completed his master's thesis, "Battlefield Colombia: Honor and Justice in the Thousand Days' War, 1899-1902," in February 2021, under the supervision of Dr. Miguel La Serna and Dr. Joseph T. Glatthaar. Londoño received his undergraduate degree in Justice Studies in the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, in May 2019. In October 2018, he completed his undergraduate thesis, "Honor, Glory, Sacrifice, and Annihilation: Violence and Death in World War II", under the supervision of Dr. Robert Niebuhr. |
