Bio: Amber Zambelli is a Heritage Commission Program Analyst for the Institute of International Education (IIE) with nearly 15 years of experience in education outreach, program support, event management, and archaeology of the pre-Islamic Arabian Peninsula. She previously worked at IIE on behalf of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She is co-host of the popular anthropology podcast The Dirt. Amber holds an A.B. in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology from Bryn Mawr College, completed graduate work in Near Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and will join the University of Pennsylvania in 2024 as a Ph.D. student in History and Sociology of Science, with a focus on the history of U.S. archaeological inquiry in Arabia. |
