Bio: I am an architectural historian currently working with Parks Canada, with interests in architectural and environmental histories of settler colonialism. My ongoing doctoral research examines architecture as a site of encounter between Indigenous Peoples and the settler-colonial state and has been supported by the Graham Foundation, SSHRC, Canadian Centre for Architecture, and McGill University. My academic work has been published in RACAR: revue d’art canadienne / Canadian Art Review and the Journal of the Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada, and my writing has also appeared in the Literary Review of Canada, Canadian Architect, The Site Magazine, C Magazine, Active History, and Scapegoat. I currently serve as Vice-President (Membership & Communications) of the Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada and chair the Society’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Sustainability Committee. I hold a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (Honours), Master of Architecture, and Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Science from the University of Waterloo. |
