Bio: Darrell is a PhD student studying military history at the University of North Texas. Along with being a Teaching Fellow at UNT he is also a Student Fellow of the Military History Center at UNT. He is a Teaching Fellow and a Student Fellow for the Military History Center. Darrell earned his MA at UNT in 2019. His thesis was titled, "Weaponized Nature: How the Environment Saved the Allies at Bastogne, December 16-23, 1944." In his dissertation and research he looks at the history of military law in the United States, specifically, why did Congress adopt the Uniform Code of Military Justice after the Second World War? Additionally, his work examines how the UCMJ was created and implemented, as well as problems that arose in the years following. Prior to returning to graduate school, Darrell worked as an attorney for nearly two decades. |
