Bio: NOAH EFRON (Ph.D., Tel Aviv University, 1996) teaches at Bar Ilan University, in the Graduate Program in Science, Technology & Society, which he founded and chairs. He has been President of the Israeli Society for History & Philosophy of Science, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Society for Science and Religion. Efron has been a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, the Dibner Institute for History of Science and Technology at MIT and a Fellow at Harvard University, and a visiting professor at the Center for Bioethics of the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author, most recently, of A Chosen Calling: Jews in Science in the Twentieth Century (Johns Hopkins and HUC Presses, 2014) as well as other books and essays on the complicated intertwine of knowledge, religion and politics. He played bass guitar for Liquid Plumr. |
