Bio: The Center for Gender and Sexuality Law has established Columbia Law School as the preeminent law school for the study of and specialization in the law of gender and sexuality. Interested students will find at Columbia rich and diverse course offerings, the nation’s first Sexuality and Gender Law Clinic, the opportunity to publish scholarship in GSL Online, and many faculty whose teaching and scholarship focus on an array of problems in the domains of sexuality and gender. The Public Rights / Private Conscience Project is a unique law and policy think tank that functions a a research initiative within the Center for Gender & Sexuality Law. The Public Rights/Private Conscience Project conceptualizes and operationalizes new frames for understanding religious exemptions and their relationship to reproductive and sexual liberty and equality rights, and disseminate those frames through legal scholarship, public policy interventions, advocacy support, and popular media representation. |
