Bio: Helena Cantone graduated in History of Art of Africa and Asia at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and went on to obtain an MA in Education: Culture, Language and Identity at Goldsmiths College. Over the past 15 years she has co-directed a charity and has worked as a project developer in community education and the arts. She is currently an M.Phil student at SOAS researching the influence of African art on post-war Italian artists with particular focus on the artistic exchanges between Italy and Ethiopia in the 1960s and '70s. Helena is co-Editor of H-AfrArts, Expressive Cultures of Africa. |
