Pauline Harris Savannah State University POSITION TITLE: Assistant Professor History/Latin American History POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a full time tenure track position as Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2013; teaches undergraduate survey courses in U.S. History and upper level courses in Latin American History. Normal Course load is 12 credit hours per semester. Additional duties include advising students and active participation in department programs and university activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in American History with a concentration in Latin American History; ABD will be considered based on experience and documented progress toward completion of the degree. Evidence of successful college teaching experience and the ability and willingness to work closely with students from diverse backgrounds; background and/or credit check may be required. SALARY: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience; competitive benefits.
