Bio: Thiago Hartz received his PhD in History of Science at the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil, in 2013 under the supervision of Professor Olival Freire Jr. He was a visiting PhD student at the Laboratoire SPHERE of the University Diderot (Paris 7), France, during the academic year 2012-2013. He also received a B.Sc. in Physics (2007) at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics (2010) at the Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas (CBPF), both in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In H-Net he's an editor of the H-PhysicalSciences network, which is organized by the Physical Science Forum of the History of Science Society (US). His current research concerns the History of Quantum Gravity from 1950 to 1970, with particular emphasis on the physicists Bryce DeWitt, Léon Rosenfeld, Christian Møller, and some other physicists that worked (for long or short periods) in Copenhagen during that period. |
