Julieanna Frost Siena Heights University Applications are being accepted for an Assistant Professor appointment to begin in August 2012. Specialization is open, including transnational global themes. Ph.D. in history is preferred; consideration will be given to ABD applicants sufficiently advanced in their thesis work. The successful candidate must be able to teach the world history survey, upper-level courses in some subfield of world history, and interdisciplinary liberal arts seminars. Secondary teacher certification in history or background in training secondary-level history teachers is a plus, as well as ability to teach a world language. The standard teaching load in the department is four courses - 12 hours per semester. Women and members of minority groups underrepresented in academia are especially encouraged to apply.
