Bio: Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania has a long tradition of providing quality education. Established in 1889 as a teacher education institution, the university has developed into a multi-purpose institution with over 8,800 students and over 400 faculty offering more than 60-degree programs at the baccalaureate, masters and doctorate level. Located in Western Pennsylvania, the town of Slippery Rock is within seven miles of two major interstate highways, I-79 and I-80, which make the university easily accessible to Pittsburgh, Erie and Cleveland, Ohio. |
