steven green Nazarbayev University Nazarbayev University is a new English-language institution located in Astana, Kazakhstan, it is a Western-style universities created with the support of other leading universities around the world. The University opened this fall with 500 students using the admissions standards of our international partners. Next year, we plan to admit at least 500 additional students. Our international partners for our undergraduate programs include the University of Wisconsin-Madison, iCarnegie (a subsidiary of Carnegie Mellon University), and University College London with other institutions partnering for specialized graduate schools and research facilities. We are using their standards for hiring faculty. The School of Humanities and Social Science is seeking applicants who hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) or ABD, preferably from a Western or leading international university for positions at all ranks in a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences such as: History and Culture(especially history of Kazakhstan) Responsibilities will include but not be limited to teaching classes, developing the instructional program, conducting research, and providing departmental guidance and leadership.
