Bio: Kathi Nehls is a doctoral candidate at the University of Georgia. Her dissertation, "Red Tape Fraternities: Bureaucratic Networks, Health Policy, and the Development of Administrative Capacities in the American West, 1900-1939," focuses on the role of the Rockefeller Foundation as a power broker of the modern administrative state and examines the critical function of non-state actors and local knowledge in shaping federal health policy in the rural West. |
