Izabela Kazejak European University Institute Alumna Fortunately, I am a historian and a cultural scientist and that is why I am critically interpreting the past and searching examination of the present. On the way to my scholarly fulfillment I am steadily confronted with the problems of the Jewish existence in past and present. My recent historical research (not yet published) was about Jewish history in Polish Wrocław and Soviet/ Ukrainian L’viv after 1945. In my current research project I am searching for the meaning of the past for the present. The title of the project is: Local history of Jews, Local Memory of Jews and Local Discourses on Jews in a Comparative Perspective -Interpretations of Local History and Culture. My other research project is in preparation. It is about the examination of the history of Jews in the 19th century. |
