Bio: Professor Kovler is an editor and researcher who has been published in The New York Times and Discover magazine. She has also contributed as a researcher to American Heritage magazine and the official publication of the Institute for Judicial Studies. A Yale alumna, Professor Kovler participated in groundbreaking public health research and served as editor for the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS. Her current research interests include public health and its interplay with criminology in the 1950s and 60s; history of New York City; gender studies; and disability history beginning mid-century. |
