Bio: I earned a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from UC Berkeley in 2009 and, in September 2010, will begin a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology at Eastern Michigan University. My broad research interests interrogate the contradictions of liberal and democratic policing, a problem my dissertation focused on in the context of French police reform from 2003 to the present. Before teaching at EMU, I taught at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po, Paris) and Assumption College (Worcester, MA). |
