Finn Arne Jørgensen <fa@jorgensenweb.net> Umeå University I am an Associate Senior Lecturer (tenure track) in the history of technology and environment at Umeå University, Sweden. My first book, More Than a Hole in the Wall: The Story of What We Do With Our Bottles and Cans will be out with Rutgers University Press in 2011. I am currently working on a second book-length manuscript on the historical development of the culture of Norwegian leisure cabin ownership and the technical infrastructure of leisure homes in the "wilderness." My main research interests center on the history of technology, consumption, and the environment in the twentieth century (US and Europe). I have been a list editor for H-Sci-Med-Tech since 2008. |
