Bio: I completed the requirements for my D.Phil. in English Literature at the University of Oxford in January 2007. I have taught undergraduate courses on postcolonial studies, magic realism, myths and legends, and fairy tales. Recent conference papers include "Formal Experiments and Metaphorical Dialogues: Marina Warner’s Alternative Communities", at the 2006 MLA convention; "Shared Experiences and Incommensurable Histories: British Identity in the Fiction of Marina Warner", at the 2006 SAMLA convention; and "Silenced Stories and the Ethics of Representation in Marina Warner’s Fiction", at the 2006 Oxford English Graduate conference. At Oxford, I was founding editor of a student fiction journal called "The Pestle". |
