Marco A. Pamplona <marco.pamplona@gmail.com> PUC-Rio (Catholic Univ) and UFF-Niteroi (Federal Univ) I work mainly with the theme of Nationalism, Independence Revolutions and State-Formation in the Americas along the "extended" 19th century (late 18th - early 20th). The core theoretical discussion usually involves the interplay of citizenship and ethnicity in the Nation-building dynamics. Late 19th century intelectuals in the Americas and the prospective nations they conjure in their writings is a welcome theme as well. |
