Bio: As UCLA's African studies librarian, I acquire and provide access to research materials in the humanities and social sciences, and have participated in the preservation of archival materials, such as the microfilming of the papers of anthropologist Hilda Kuper. I am the Immediate Past-Chair of the Cooperative Africana Microform Project (CAMP), having served as Chair in 2002-2004. On several occasions I have taught a graduate course in Africana Bibliography and Research Methods at UCLA, focusing on sub-Saharan Africa. My co-authored bibliography (with David Uru Iyam), _Nigeria_ (Clio, 1999), received an Honorable Mention by the Conover-Porter Award in 2002. |
