Bio: I have been concerned for most of my career with the issue of orientalism understood as a part of eurocentric history writing. I have been thinking about this from the vantage point of world history and from the vantage point of area studies, doing so with a specialized interest in Egypt. i continue to pursue both aspects. If you need a copy of my cv please let me know. |
