Sharon R. Pellegrino <sowen@fullerton.edu> Center for Oral and Public History, California State University, Fullerton My main interests fall under the categories of oral and public history as it relates to California's rich past, specifically Southern California. My special interest is in technology as it applies to preserving aging analog oral history interviews by digitizing and migrating them to cds. I am currently finishing up a migration project of 4,000 plus analog reel-to-reel and cassette tapes at the Center for Oral and Public History, CSUF. Much of my work involves researching how technology can be used to disseminate these unique primary sources to a wider audience by integrating with museum exhibits, etc. Saving them in various formats not only ensures their survival for future generation but also allow easy online access to a global audience. |

Bio: B.A. (1997) and M.A. (2000)in history with an emphasis in public history from Cal State Fullerton. Systems Librarian for COPH since 2000.
