Bio: I am a biological anthropologist with broad training in the four fields of anthropology and a focus on the origins, manifestations and measurement of human variation. I have three degrees (all in anthropology): a BA from the University of Iowa (1977), an AM (1980) and a PhD (1988) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have worked as a research scientist in the College of Medicine, the supervisor of clinical research in a for-profit hospital and am currently a research scientist in the College of Public Health. Significant publications include: Kelly KM (1990) Gm polymorphisms, linguistic affinities, and natural selection in Melanesia.
