Michael Hutchison <mhutch@avenuebroadband.com> Lincoln High School I have written a series of primary source activity books for Social Studies School Service, as well as activity books on various elements of the Bill of Rights for SSSS. I also have authored two sets of Document-Based Question activity books as well. In addition, I recently completed work on a large-scale Power Point presentation entitled "Big Ideas in United States History", which will be available for sale in October, 2004. I also am a contributing author for the upcoming International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) NETS series on high school social studies projects which utilize technology. |

Bio: (Note: my complete vitae can be found on my web site, http://www.vcsc.k12.in.us/staff/mhutch/ice2000) Masters in Education, Indiana State University, 1982 Bachelor's Degree, Social Studies Education, Indiana State University, 1978 Associate in Science, (Journalism) Vincennes University, 1975 I have taught part time for several years at Vincennes University, and have had several articles published in "The Well Connected Educator" online journal. In addition, I have presented at the Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) Conference at Stanford University (1999), the Ohio SchoolNet Conference and the Kentucky Teaching and Learning Conference (2003), the Indiana Computer Educators conference, 2001 and 2003, and will be presenting at the National Education Computer Conference (NECC) in June, 2005. I also have hosted the "Social Studies forum" in TAPPED IN since 2000, featuring guests such as Ken Burns, Ron Maxwell, and Joy Hakim. |
