Christopher L. Ball <ball@mail.h-net.msu.edu> DePaul University My primary interest is in "grand strategy" -- a state's theory of how to provide security for itself -- and the role that political ideologies play in shaping grand strategy. My focus is on 20th century and current United States foreign policy, particularly the presidencies of Woodrow Wilson, Dwight Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan. I am also interested in how international relations theories and concepts are used in contemporary debates over U.S. foreign policy. NATO expansion, multilateralism, and secession are three debates I am examining. |
