Bio: BA MA (Leeds ) PhD(Sydney) Dip ed. (Birmingham) Emeritus Professor in Semitic Studies, currently Chairman and Joint Master of Mandelbaum House, the Jewish College at the University of Sydney and Trustee of Mandlebaum trust. Editor of Mandelbaum Publishing (monographs on Judaica) Chief examiner in Classical Hebrew for the State school system , Senior Associate Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies. Member of Advisory committee, world Union of Jewish Studies Have written, edited, translated or contributed to 25 books, 115 articles more than 60 reviews, was an editor of the Auustralian Jewish Quarterly The Bridge from its inception to its demise, have been a Ford Foundation postdoc at UCLA, visiting Professor at UCL, visiting lecturer at the School for Overseas Students Jerusalem etc. |
