Bio: Ph.D., University of Cambridge (Britain), 1992; M.A., University of Warwick (Britain), 1980; B.A., B.S., Minnesota State University Moorhead, 1978. Teach a variety of communication and journalism classes at undergraduate and graduate level, including media ethics, editing, public relations writing, photojournalism, graphic design, research methods and mass media history. Research: About two dozen refereed articles and monographs published on topics of World War I French journalism, and U.S. frontier journalism. Variety of conference papers and panels. Professional experience: about 435 articles and photos published in about two dozen newspapers and magazines. |
