I also co-edit the Newsletter of the New York Labor History Association, "Work History News." I formerly served as president of the Fur and Leather Workers Union from 1961 until my retirement in 1988. I have taught classes in labor history at the Harry Van Arsdale School for Labor Studies, the City College Center for Worker Education and the Institute for Retirees Pursuing Education (IRPE) at Brooklyn College. |

Bio: I received the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the City College of New York in 1939. While I was president of the Fur & Leather Workers Union (see above), I edited the union newspaper, FLM JOINT BOARD TEMPO, which received 12 first-prize awards for general excellence in the annual competitions sponsored by the International Labor Press Association (now the International Labor Communications Associ-ation). I authored an article, "Saul Mills and the Greater New York Labor Council" for Labor History Magazine, and wrote the chapter, "Labor in the Post-World War II Period" for the book, "The Cold War Against Labor." |
