Bio: I have the usual -- BA, MA, PhD. I work on utopias/utopianism, rhetorical and composition theory, and on the figure or trope of cannibalism in American literature and culture. I also do scholarly work on science fiction, and maintain the website of the Science Fiction Research Association. I am currently completing a book on rhetoric, pedagogy, and utopia; am co-editing a book on computers and collaboration (under contract); and have another under consideration on handling the electronic load as teachers and scholars. I frequently participate in discussion lists, present on computers and the humanities, and offer workshops on teaching with emerging technologies. |
