Janet R. Goodwin <jan@cs.csustan.edu> Aizu History Project I have been conducting research on gender and marginality in classical and medieval Japan, focusing especially on the sexual activities of women that were considered transgressive. I have published a book on that topic, and a related article was published several years ago in Monumenta Nipponica. See below. In addition, I am working with an international multidisciplinary team on the Aizu History Project, a web-based electronic text that aims to teach Japanese history from the viewpoint of the Aizu region in northern Japan. We are currently constructing 3D computer models of historical and archaeological sites in Aizu, and have become involved in virtual heritage projects. |
